The United States of America (USA) or United States (US) is a country, made up of 50 States, 5 territories and a federal district, situated in North America. It is a superpower and has great influence over world finance, military, trade and technology.
USA telecom history is started with the introduction of telegraph, the first fully digital communication system in late 19th century. Use of this digital internet service became more and more popular in the second half of the 1990s. In 2003, Monet Mobile Network and Verizon were started to provide country's first wireless 3G technology. In February 2017, US introduced its first LTE-U technology with 20MHz block of 5GHz spectrum by T-Mobile US, which helps to deliver its forthcoming Gigabit LTE service.
Today, USA sets timetable for launch of 5G (fifth generation) network with early trials set to take place as soon as next to next year. 5G wireless networks is capable of reaching faster speeds of 1Gbps and enhanced Streaming video, animations as well as loading large images.
