India is a nation which is located in South Asia. It is the 7th-largest country by area and the 2nd-most populous country in the world. In the history of Indian telecommunication, it is started with the introduction of communication system, called intranet.

Today, the country has one of the most developed broadband internet infrastructure with international submarine communications cable and high-speed terrestrial offering a fully digitalized network and make available for use of an international gateway to broader global networks.
